Being Open With Your Audience to Build Relationships

Are you a nameless, faceless marketer who is just trying to sell to people? Or, are you a real person with real feelings, struggles, and successes? Do you understand the members of your audience? Do you truly care about their success and what’s going on in their lives.

Of course you do. And of course you’re a real person. You have to let people know that. Email can seem cold and impersonal, which is sort of crazy because that’s not what ‘email’ started off being.

It’s almost as if there are two corners to one’s email inbox. There’s the corner that’s filled with emails from family, friends, and colleagues. Know What’s Going On First in Your Niche

People desperately want others to tell them what’s going on and how to think. It doesn’t matter which industry it is or what topic you’re talking about, this is something that’s universal. If you can become a news bringer and a thought leader in your niche, you can make great headway as a marketer.

The way this is done is by becoming a news bringer in your niche. Essentially, you are going to position yourself as a thought leader and expert in your niche. You are going to keep up with and deliver the latest news in your niche.

If they tell you something has changed, you believe it. If they tell you something is new, different, and really works, you believe it. If they tell you that you must buy something, you believe it.

Believing You Can Change Habits – Using Visualization

Habits and Goals Together

You might be wondering what you’re supposed to do if you want to change certain habits but you really haven’t given any thought to whether or not they attach to goals you have. What if you just know that you procrastinate too much and that’s a habit you’d like to stop? Is the desire to change that bad habit attached to any sort of goal?

I’d argue that that absolutely is attached to goals you have. Procrastination is a bad habit. It’s preventing you from earning more money. It’s harming your business or stopping you from getting raises and promotions. It’s harming your reputation and it’s making it harder for you to be happy with your own performance.

Habits don’t exist in a vacuum. You don’t like them or despise them for their own sake. When you examine them further, it becomes a lot clearer why you really want to change them. There are clear, measurable goals inside you that you need to pull out and understand, so you can understand your habits.
