You are creating an affiliate review site. That means you’re going to have to get good at writing review articles.

To do this, I recommend you get your hands on the product you’re promoting. This is easier to do with digital products than it is for physical products.

As an affiliate, you can often ask for the digital product from the product creator for free for your review and promotion, or you can often get a discount on it. Even if you can’t, digital products are worth paying for if you know that you can at least recoup your investment by being an affiliate.

Choosing a Domain Name For Your Affiliate Review Site

After you’ve decided what type of website you’re going to create, it’s time to choose a domain name.

You don’t want to choose a domain name that contains a trademark. You do want to choose something that is representative of the product or the types of products you will be reviewing.

Think about the successful review websites out there and the types of domain names they have chosen. What you choose should be related to searches those interested in your niche will enter and want to click on when they see your website in the search results.

If you are using something like Blogger.com, you’ll choose a URL right there, for free—choose wisely, even for a free URL.

As an affiliate marketer, you’ll probably want to set up an affiliate review site sooner or later. There are a few different reasons why this might be the case.

For one thing, many companies that allow you to promote their products as an affiliate require you to have an affiliate review site for them to check out. They want to make sure you are a legitimate affiliate.

They want to make sure that you understand their target audience. There are, unfortunately, some affiliates out there who scam companies… which has led to a crackdown on applications that might require you to have a website.

YouTube Marketing as an Affiliate

It’s easy to forget that there are ways to drive traffic to your links and projects as an affiliate other than writing content. Don’t get me wrong— writing reviews, blogging, and building your list using content are all great ideas.

But there’s a whole other world out there. There’s a world of promotion that fewer marketers know how to tap into. That’s a shame, because you can drive a lot of great traffic using this method. That means you can make more sales as an affiliate.

The method I’m talking about is YouTube marketing. You’ve no doubt spent countless hours on YouTube yourself over the years. You’ve watched videos on topics you were interested in.

Using Webinars and Google Hangouts as an Affiliate

It’s sometimes difficult to think of new and exciting ways to get traffic for the products you’re promoting as an affiliate.

You can write articles, pay for traffic, mail your list, and things like that.

It’s important to use methods that are fresh and different from what everyone else is doing.

It’s also important to connect with your audience on a very personal level.

You can do that through text, but it’s often much more impactful to do it through video or through your voice.
