Amazon FBA Retail Arbitrage, part 1

What Is Retail Arbitrage?

Retail arbitrage simply means to buy something low and sell it high. In the case of retail arbitrage for FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon, which is Amazon’s amazing service where they will hold your inventory, market it, take the customer’s payments, and pack and ship it for you), you’ll buy retail items, either online or offline, and sell them for more money on Amazon. It really is as simple as that.

Retail arbitrage is a lot of fun because you can do it in your spare time. Let’s say you’re shopping at Target or Walmart. You can simply head over to the clearance area, scan some of the items using one of the tools you’ve downloaded to your smartphone (such as ScanPower or ProfitBandit) and buy the items you know will be profitable.

Once you really start to get into this, you’ll be amazed at how many opportunities there are out there to profit in everyday stores, even in your local grocery store.

Some people who really get into this won’t let themselves leave a retail store until they know they will have profited enough to take care of all of their purchases – even the ones they are making for their household! That’s a really fun way to think about this business. It can pay for minor expenses and even build up into a full-time income.

You might be wondering if there really is that much profit potential out there. There definitely is. You can shop for a day and come away with thousands of dollars in profits, if you know what you’re doing.

Start a Membership Site

One of the best income generation methods there is, in my opinion, is to start a membership site or other type of community or program where people pay you monthly for the privilege of accessing your content.

And really, you can start out by offering free access to your content for no charge, to “show ‘em what you got”, and then give reason to upgrade to something where they are happy to pay you regularly, after they get to know, like, and trust you.

In this episode I’m going to give you some ideas to get your thought process and excitement going, and in future episodes I’ll get into more specifics about the different types of membership models that you can choose from.

Affiliate Marketing

Many Internet marketers, myself included, started out in perhaps the easiest way possible… by becoming an affiliate for one or more merchants that had products that allowed other to promote.

Well, I say easy, but in reality I had to learn a lot of painful and frustrating lessons along the way, many of which I hope to be able to teach you inside IMIT, so that you don’t have so much pain and frustration.

This particular lesson is more geared to those who aren’t already familiar with what affiliate marketing is all about. If you’ve been an IM’er for a while, you’re probably already familiar with what I’m going to say today, but if not, I think you’ll become very excited with what lies in store for you.

Email Services For Offline Businesses

Provide Email Services for Offline Businesses

I’ve often said that if I had my back against the wall and desperately needed to make a living other than the way I currently do, or if I needed to make quick money, the method I’m going to talk to you about today is what I’d choose.

Offline marketing in general is providing services that you’re comfortable with to local area businesses who need those services and either don’t know how to do themselves, or they have better things to do with their time. Usually both of those situations apply, and when they do you have an obvious and potentially popular and very profitable service on your hands.

What I would offer first would be email services to local businesses.

Actually, this goes back to when I myself ran a small local business, before I became proficient with online marketing… even before there was a world wide web as we know it today.
