The Philosophy on Habit-Change and Visualization

Habits— they can either work for you or against you. In many cases, habits aren’t something most people think about on a regular basis. Sure, maybe some get the nagging feeling that that thrice-daily chocolate and gummy bear eating habit isn’t such a great thing. Maybe they even vow to cut the candy when New Year’s resolution season rolls around. But, as far as dramatic habit-change, that’s something just a few of us self-improvement nuts pay attention to.

Honestly, it’s a good thing to become “nuttily focused” about habit change. It’s a good thing to want to improve in every area of your life, like you do. It’s a wonderful thing that you’re not content to live life the way you’ve been living it. Whether you want to improve your health, finances, business, work life, or anything else, you are a step above the rest because you’re willing to take a long, hard look at what it takes to make it happen.

Many people assume that you should be able to just snap your fingers and change your habits in an instant. As you’re well aware, that’s just not the way it works. Just like that habitual chocolate eater can’t just stop on a whim, you can’t just change all of your habits at once, whenever you want to. What you’re learning here is as close as you’re going to get to that!

Planning Lessons as a Coach

Lesson planning is often a matter of individual preference if this is something you’re going to do as part of your coaching. You can do it however you want. What works for you might not work for someone else. You’ll start off by figuring out exactly what you want to teach in a certain book, report, or session. Then, you’ll figure out how you’ll relay that information, including which mediums you’ll utilize.

You’ll determine which stories you’ll share and which questions you’ll ask. You’ll find supplementary resources you can share or refer learners to. Honestly, lesson planning (or lecture planning, or book planning, or whatever it is you’re doing) can be a lot of fun if you have the right mindset about it.

It’s important to be prepared enough that you know what you’re doing without really having to think about it while you’re actually teaching or writing. Outline and plan ahead so you’re ready to go. When you’re first starting out, you’ll probably want to be pretty specific in your plans. I’m not saying you need an exact script, but you should know what’s coming next and when.

Perfectly Persuading People through Email

I’m a fan of building relationships and making sales through a targeted email list. If you haven’t yet focused on building your own email list, I urge you to do so.

Having a list is extremely important in any market, whether your focus is online or offline. Your email list is your best asset no matter if you sell physical products, digital products, business-to-business items, or services. You can easily double your income by spending more time building and nurturing your email list.

Even so, some marketers balk at the thought of building a list. They’ve heard that it’s less effective than it used to be, and that email marketing is “dead” since deliverability rates are down. Sure, it’s not as easy as it used to be—but it’s all relative. Email marketing is still bound to be the most effective, money-making, and important part of your business.
