Getting More People to Open Your Emails

It’s All About Email…

As an online marketer, you’re probably aware that email marketing is extremely important. If you don’t have an email list, you’re going to be left behind.

But just having an email list isn’t enough. You can build one by giving away something awesome, but how do you convince them to open your emails in the future, which is what you wanted to happen when you asked them to sign up.

So now, you’re ready to learn what it takes to nurture that list to improve your open rates. It’s frustrating to send an email out, only to find that next to no one opens it. What’s the point of that?

One of two things tends to consistently happen to email marketers. There are those marketers who just don’t know how to reach their audience. They’ll send an email only to be met with dismal results— their open rates are terrible.

There are other marketers who seem to have the golden touch when it comes to email marketing. People salivate when one of their emails comes into their inbox. Their open rates, click through rates, and conversion rates are out of this world. That’s the position you want to find yourself in.

So, how do you get more people to open your email? It’s not as tricky as it sounds, actually. When you really get to the heart of it, it’s all about understanding people and developing relationships.

Using Social Media For Traffic

The Web Is Social

There are many different ways to drive traffic to your business online. The choices might be overwhelming – what should you do first? What should you focus most of your time and attention on?

There’s no easy answer to that question because every niche and business is different, but it’s a safe bet that social media should be a huge part of your overall strategy to generate traffic.

The web is social. Social media is where people learn the latest news, keep up with people, products, services, businesses, and more. It’s generally expected these days that a business should be found on social media. It’s where customers are now trained to connect with businesses they care about.

That’s good news for you, too. Social media is a wonderful way for you to get to know your customers. You can use social media for niche research, to understand your audience more fully, to develop strategies that will be a hit with your audience, and to become known in your niche.

Email Services For Offline Businesses

Provide Email Services for Offline Businesses

I’ve often said that if I had my back against the wall and desperately needed to make a living other than the way I currently do, or if I needed to make quick money, the method I’m going to talk to you about today is what I’d choose.

Offline marketing in general is providing services that you’re comfortable with to local area businesses who need those services and either don’t know how to do themselves, or they have better things to do with their time. Usually both of those situations apply, and when they do you have an obvious and potentially popular and very profitable service on your hands.

What I would offer first would be email services to local businesses.

Actually, this goes back to when I myself ran a small local business, before I became proficient with online marketing… even before there was a world wide web as we know it today.

Focus

Focus acronymIf you’ve read my first book, 5 Bucks a Day, you realize how strongly I feel about focus as being a predictor of success.

In the book I talked about how it was in 2005 that I sat down with myself after 3 long years of constant failure, told myself that I had to quit chasing what I now call “bright shiny objects”, and simplify things.

Let me introduce The IM Inside Track…

ABOUT US ICONIf you’re new here, please click on the icon ==>
to learn more about this site before proceeding.

You can download a PDF of this post from here, and/or you can download the podcast from here.

First things first… if you’re new here, please check to make sure that you received an email with your login credentials. Some email services such as hotmail, outlook, and others routinely block emails that are autogenerated and sent by scripts such as what sent that email to you.

So if you did not receive your email with login information, and you just joined, you’re currently logged in, but once you log out, you won’t be able to log in again. That can easily be fixed if you go here and read the FAQ about what to do if you didn’t receive your login credentials. Option 1 there is the quickest and easiest solution and won’t require my support or any delay.

Also, you should have been asked to confirm your email address to join the member’s email list. I plan on sending emails each Friday to members with links to new content, as well as informing you of any new features about the site. This particular list will not be used for affiliate marketing, only for IMIT stuff. So if you aren’t signed up for that list, look for the Aweber optin confirmation request and confirm, or use the link on the right hand sidebar here.

Welcome to The IM Inside Track

As I compose this first post, there are tons and tons of thoughts running through my head.

You see, this is a site that I’ve always wanted to find. It’s something I’ve always known that was needed. It’s something that I never in my wildest imagination thought that was meant for me to be the creator.

But here I am, with high hopes, and it’s been a long and twisted path.
