The idea here is to offer a free contest where entrants have a chance to win your products. Here are three tips for optimizing this freemium strategy:
TIP: Get people excited about your products. For example, have people create a 15-second commercial about your products, or have them write a Haiku poem about them. Then have your visitors vote for the best entries. |
TIP: Give “runners up” a discount coupon. After you award your prizes, give all entrants a limited-time coupon that gives them a discount off your most popular products. This tip is especially powerful in combination with the previous tip, because then entrants have already put plenty of thought into the benefits of your products. |
TIP: Give extra entries using Rafflecopter.com. This tool lets you give extra entries for performing specific actions, such as spreading the word on Facebook or other social media platforms. It’s a great way to make your contest go viral. |
