Twitter Traffic Strategy

Twitter is an exceptional social media platform and it’s fantastic for driving traffic in a lot of ways. While Facebook is a lot more flexible and has a much bigger reach, Twitter’s nothing to sneeze at. It’s a way to express yourself in 140 characters or less. It’s a way to spread the word about what you have to offer, to develop a following, to network with other marketers, and more.

Twitter is also becoming savvier when it comes to different types of content. For instance, now you can have video or an image in your update, which can gain more notice and be even more effective.

Twitter was really the first place where the #hashtag phenomenon took off. It started as a way to express yourself in a shorter space, but now it’s a way to connect topics and people with the same interests.

How to Build a Social Media Presence

Social media… You know you need it for your business, but the thought of getting started is completely overwhelming. You look at those businesses that have a great, established presence online. Did they build their presence overnight? Or, are they just better, smarter, and faster than you?

In some cases, you know that certain companies have a lot of money and power behind them. They make a big splash on social media pretty much right away because they already have the power behind them.

There are others that remain a bit more of a mystery. They started out small and fresh… Like you. They didn’t have a ton of money and power behind them. They didn’t have a lot of customers and fans going into this. But, now they do.

Research Can Be Fun, Fast and Easy

So many people are resistant to researching before they write and self-publish because they think it will take a long time. They skirt around it and pray that their idea will take off by pure force of will.

It’s a little bit understandable because it used to be the case that solid market research was difficult or even unattainable for the average person, but it no longer is.

It’s a great time for self-published nonfiction authors! You have access to up-to-the-minute sales data and market trends… for free. This is huge compared to what independent authors had access to in the past.
