Procrastination: Time Management Tricks part 2

Let’s continue on with more time management tricks.

Setting Goals

One of the most important things you can do to manage your time well is to set your goals. I mention goal setting a lot because it is so important.

The most successful people in the world set their goals. Not only do they set goals, but they set very specific goals. They know exactly what they want and when they want to get it.

Goal Setting, Visualization and You

What Makes You Different From Everyone Else

You are different from most people, and I’m sure of that.

Most people are content to live their lives with their eyes closed. They think it’s okay to go through the motions and accept that they will always be the same way. They think they will always get the same results.

Sure, sometimes (usually around New Year’s), they think they’re going to give it an effort. They’re going to change! They make some resolutions, buy that gym membership or buy into that business opportunity. But it really doesn’t go any further than that.

Don’t worry, if that sounds like you, I’m not criticizing you, it’s the same for the majority of people, and I’ve been in that same situation.

Give it All Away and Get More Back

There is a lot more digital competition these days. There are so many other marketers and there are so many other things that can be distracting for your readers and customers. Even if they really love you, remember they may not remember to check you out again. That is… if you can even get them to notice you in the first place.

How can you stand out in a crowded marketplace? It can really take some brainstorming to get to the bottom of it. One of the problems is that there has been a dramatic decrease in the perceived value of digital products in the past couple of years. Yes, people are definitely still willing to buy information products. That’s the basis of a lot of my business. As long as people are getting results, they will buy the info product.

With that said, there’s so much competition for selling info products these days that it can be difficult in certain niches. Depending on how you angle your product, it can be tough for new marketers. It’s just not as easy for a new info product seller to break in as it was in the past. You have to prove yourself, really differentiate your product (and yourself), and show that it’s worth it. How are you going to stand out, once again?

How to Get More Out of Freelancing and Providing Services

As you may know, freelancing is one of the best ways to generate an income online. Assuming you’ve already gotten started, there are ways you can run your business more efficiently, work with better clients, and be happier as a service provider overall.

One of the most common issues I see among freelancers and consultants is that they feel overwhelmed. Many of them deal with “feast and famine.” Sometimes they have a ton of work and money coming in and other times not so much.

How can you avoid this problem? Do you lack consistency? Your goal as a freelancer is to never really have to market for clients. You should set things up the right way from the start so you have a steady stream of inquiries coming in.

Advanced List Building Techniques

Hey guys, this is Robert Plank. Today, let’s talk about some advanced list building techniques. So you’ve got your autoresponder set up. Maybe you’ve got some follow-ups. You’ve got an opt-in form on a page; maybe it’s in the wrong kind of page; maybe you have it on a sales letter, in which case you should probably take it off. But there are ways to get it right. So if you have an opt-in form on a sales letter you might want to have it on as a squeeze page, so that you get somebody to opt-in for a bribe and then send them to the sales letter. And that way if you have the opt-in page on a separate page than the sales letter, then if you get an affiliate to send traffic your way you can just skip the squeeze page so that he is not working to build your list. Because affiliates hate that; affiliates want to build their own list and then send traffic to your sales letter; and if it makes a sale then they make money, but they don’t want to just send traffic blindly to your newsletter and expect it to pay off in the end.

So how do you build a list? How do you keep your subscribers on your list? And how do you keep coming up with new content? Well, my favorite way of coming up with new content is probably the simplest way possible. You have a newsletter with 7 tips. So you think of a common problem that people have in your niche, and if you can’t think of a problem you go around on forums and you ask your existing lists if they have a problem with something. And you describe 7 ways to tackle a certain problem. Now it might be a 7-step way to get past something or just 7 things that they can do that they can look at all 7 things. If they aren’t doing any of them they just pick one thing out of the 7 and then apply it.
