A Look at Snapchat

I thought this short look inside the beginning and evolution of Snapchat would be of interest. From a very simple idea, 3 college students with complementary talents created an app that Facebook offered $3 billion for (and was rejected). Perhaps you can do the same with a simple idea of your own.

Overview

Snapchat was founded in 2011 by Evan Spiegel, Bobby Murphy, and Reggie Brown. They were all college students that worked together with different aptitudes to make the company happen. Brown is believed to conceive the idea while Spiegel had the marketing know how. Murphy was (and still is) the brains behind the coding. Spiegel is currently the CEO, and Murphy is the CTO.

LinkedIn Strategy

LinkedIn is a fantastic social media site, especially for those who are in the business-to-business markets.

If you’re not in a business to business market (like Internet marketing), I’m not saying LinkedIn can’t be valuable to you. But I would consider focusing on other social media platforms instead.

Why? Because LinkedIn is where businesspeople hang out. Businesses advertise their business. Workers put up their resumes. It’s a place for professions. It’s not a place for dieting, workouts, pet care, and other niches like that… at least not usually.

LinkedIn is a spot where people make connections with those in similar industries. It’s also a spot where people network, partner up, and look for ways to boost their business.

Creating Amazon Affiliate Websites for Passive Income

Amazon has a pretty incredible affiliate program. It’s a favorite of many online marketers for a reason. Some people focus on it pretty exclusively while others just use it here and there on blog posts and articles where it makes sense to.

You want to earn more passive income, so the Amazon associates program seems to be calling your name. But, can you really earn enough with the program to make a difference? Can you really earn a great passive income with Amazon?

The thing you should know upfront is that earning with Amazon isn’t like earning as an affiliate with digital products. They aren’t going to hand you 50% of every sale or anything anywhere close to that. You’re going to earn a pretty small portion of each sale– just 4%, when you’re first starting out. That can hardly seem worth it.
