How Often to Send Emails

E-mail ConceptIt’s important to have a careful balance when it comes to email marketing. You want to earn great money with your emails… but you want to develop relationships too.

You’ve been on the wrong end of things as a list subscriber yourself, I’m sure. Some marketers send way, way too many marketing emails to you. You might have even unsubscribed from a list run by a marketer you otherwise liked because it got to be too much.

You don’t want to offend your list members like that. Sure, you’re never going to please everyone, but that doesn’t mean you want to fall into a “churn and burn” pattern. The marketers who do that don’t care about anything but the sale. They don’t care if you unsubscribe because they’ll just get more people on their list to wear out.

Mindset of a Product Creator

Illustration of idea designYou’ve decided, wisely, that creating products is the next step you’d like to take in your business. You realize that it’s very important to have your own products because it can help boost your income and authority.

But, are you really ready? I hope you are and I think you are. With that said, I’ve spoken with many, many business owners who know that they should be creating and releasing products but there’s something that holds them back.

In some cases, it’s fear. It’s always scary to try something new. What if your product fails? What if your customers all ask for refunds? That’s just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the terrible things that could happen if you release a product and it goes wrong.

After all, it’s your reputation on the line. There are certainly those product creators who are only in it for the money and who don’t care much at all about the quality. But that’s not you. You care so much about the quality and doing right by your customers… and by yourself.

The Different Components of a Sales Letter

salesletter_componentsWriting a sales letter can be one of the most intimidating things when it comes to your marketing. It’s enough to make you run for the hills… or pray desperately for the budget needed to hire a good copywriter.

I’m a fan of finding the “easy button” for everything I do. If I ever find something to be challenging, I look for ways to simplify it without losing its impact or magic. It’s the same when it comes to writing sales copy.

Writing sales copy becomes easy once you’ve practiced enough. But I’m also of the mindset that it can be easy for you no matter what stage of the game you’re in. Whether you’re new or just looking for a way to more easily write sales copy, I believe that knowing the components of a sales letter can really help you.

When you break it down, it’s so much less intimidating. You can focus on it bit-by-bit, piece-by-piece. Don’t think of it as writing a big, bad, long, sales letter. Think of it as writing the headline, then writing the intro, then writing some catchy bullet points.

I’m going to break it down for you here. Take these pieces or chunks of a sales letter and start writing. First, draw out what the main benefits of your product are. Really get to know the product inside out. Get to know the audience inside out—what are their most important emotions and desires related to the product? If you know those things, you’ll have a running start when it comes time to fill in the blanks of the sales letter.

How to Sell Solutions Instead of Products

business concept:problem solution success

Today’s episode comes from the archives of my Daily Seminar site, and was written and narrated by Jason Fladlien.

Today I’m going to discuss with you a very advanced sales tactic. Actually it’s not advanced in the application but it’s advanced in thinking. Most people do not get past the fact that they think they’re selling products. I never sell a person a product in their life – I’ve always sold people solutions.

In fact when I do my traveling to, for example, go to an internet marketing seminar, I’ll often be sitting in the airport just waiting for the plane or whatever and I’ll strike up a conversation with someone next to me. Inevitably they’ll always ask me what I do and that’s a very good question, because what do you do?

Monetizing Autoresponders

business email marketing content connection on people backgroundEmail marketing is one of the best ways to develop passive income. If you use an autoresponder company (and you definitely should), you can write and store emails in your account that automatically get sent out to your list subscribers. These emails can contain links that sell products you believe in—either your own products or products you’re promoting as an affiliate.

You could choose to store enough content to last a year or more, if you wanted to. Write 100 emails over time, add links to them, and load them up into your autoresponder account. Set them to deliver every few days or a couple times a week or whatever works for you.

How is this passive? It’s passive because these emails will go out to new subscribers at the preset intervals you’ve determined ahead of time. Ideally, you’ll design a list-building funnel that will work for you day and night. So, someone who joins your list today will get your email sequence in order—they’ll see the emails where you teach things and emails where you sell things. They’ll buy from you.
