You are creating an affiliate review site. That means you’re going to have to get good at writing review articles.

To do this, I recommend you get your hands on the product you’re promoting. This is easier to do with digital products than it is for physical products.

As an affiliate, you can often ask for the digital product from the product creator for free for your review and promotion, or you can often get a discount on it. Even if you can’t, digital products are worth paying for if you know that you can at least recoup your investment by being an affiliate.

After you’ve decided what type of website you’re going to create, it’s time to choose a domain name.

You don’t want to choose a domain name that contains a trademark. You do want to choose something that is representative of the product or the types of products you will be reviewing.

Think about the successful review websites out there and the types of domain names they have chosen. What you choose should be related to searches those interested in your niche will enter and want to click on when they see your website in the search results.

If you are using something like Blogger.com, you’ll choose a URL right there, for free—choose wisely, even for a free URL.

You know how important it is to have a presence on social media. The trouble is that it can be really overwhelming. It’s easy to fall into a trap of spending all your time on sites like Facebook and Twitter without seeing any benefit from it.

Why is it the case that some people see a ton of benefit from being on social media and other people don’t see any benefit at all?

In my experience, those who see the most benefit from social media have a set schedule they follow for using it. Everything they do on social media has a purpose. They don’t find themselves following links and reading time-wasting post after time-wasting post.
