Your List is the Ultimate Form of Traffic

It all comes back to your list. No matter what you’re doing as far as driving traffic, your ultimate goal should be to get people on your list. When you have a list, it doesn’t matter if Google kicks you to the curb. It doesn’t matter if Twitter or Facebook shut down tomorrow. When you have your own list, you can access it and generate traffic whenever you want to.

If I had to summarize your traffic goals, it would be to foster relationships with the people in your niche and build a huge list you care deeply about. If you do those things, you absolutely will be successful. You will earn money, you will sell products, and you will be able to generate traffic with the push of a button. That’s what people dream about – but you are actually going to do it.

When you create a Facebook page and build it up, that’s not your end goal. When you create a large Facebook group and tons of people join, that’s not your end goal. When you pay for traffic via Adwords or Facebook ads and get a lot of clicks, that’s not your end goal. Your goal is to get people on your list so you can access that traffic whenever you want to and make money whenever you want to.
