Leveraging Your Content in More Than One Way

Very few marketers seem to do this, and that’s a mistake because it can bring you a lot of traffic and a lot of exposure. I’m talking about writing articles that are meant for reprint.

You write articles for yourself and your own purposes all the time. However, your influence only spreads so far – especially when you’re first starting out. Wouldn’t you love it if you could write an article and have dozens of marketers post it with a resource box pointing to your website? It would end up all over the web– in their newsletters, on their blog, off-line, in e-zines, in magazines, and more. This is basically free advertising, branding, and traffic that is mutually beneficial.

Consider writing these articles that are available for reprint, that include an author’s resource box. Anyone is free to use these articles as long as they leave your resource box intact.

Creating Shareable Content

Creating Shareable Content

We’ve talked a little about creating content people will want to share. How do you do that? It’s such an important part of staying fresh and relevant in today’s search engines and on social media. You have to make sure you consistently have great content that people feel intrinsically motivated to share.

The first thing to note is that if you are trying to get a stale dinosaur of a website to rank, you’re going to have a difficult time. If you haven’t added any content to your website for years, it’s time to freshen things up. You should be posting on your website or blog consistently. You shouldn’t just be posting any old content, you should be posting content that’s going to shake things up a bit and help your site get noticed.

We are going to talk a lot about writing great content when we get to the section on blogging. Note that most content-related discussions relate to blogs and static websites. There are some great things you can do to light a fire in your blog content so it spreads like crazy all over the web.

Getting People Into the Habit of Coming Back

I’ve talked about getting people addicted to your content. What does this mean, really? To get a grasp on the concept, consider the blogs, websites, emails, and social media account you check most frequently. Is there a marketer out there you follow everywhere they are online? Do you regularly check to see if a certain marketer or business posted a new video or podcast? Whose opinions do you turn to before you make a decision or buy something new?

Make a list of the reasons why you follow these marketers so closely. You may not have even been aware that you were doing it! There might be something about their personality or style that really draws you to them. There’s something about them, beyond the fact that they are in a niche you’re interested in, that puts them above everyone else in that niche, as far as you’re concerned.

Now consider the people in your niche. What can you do to get them to come back to you time and time again? How can you get them on a regular schedule of visiting your blog, podcasts, and videos? You don’t want to reach them in just one place– you want to reach them wherever they are!

10 Ways to Get Traffic When You Don’t Want to Spend Money

One of the most daunting tasks for any marketer, whether new or experienced, is getting traffic to their opt-in forms as well as their paid offers. And without targeted visitors, you will be less likely to build a list, make sales, and build a brand online as a leading expert.

Many marketers who are in the business of guiding others in this industry like to teach people that the only solution is to fork over a sum of money and pay for the traffic they need. This is not true, and in fact you have a number of easy and effective options at your disposal.

Some of them require more work than others, but if you are willing to learn the process and do the steps, you can have a steady stream of free traffic funneling to your blog, lead magnet pages, and info products.
